This Penthouse Balcony garden in Elwood was custom designed to not only fit the space on the balcony but to be able to fit in the service elevator given there was no crane access to this side of the building. All of the Planter boxes were custom built with the timber installed in the basement car park. The furniture and the water feature were purchased by the client and the rest of the garden was designed around them. The merbau decking is on timber joists that sit on jacks over the top of the existing tiles to allow for the original drainage to continue to work for the balcony. Two portable vegetable gardens on lockable caster wheels allows for the client to pick fresh produce and throw it straight on the BBQ. An outdoor space that became an extension of the indoor.
